7TH REEL PICTURES was formed in January 2010 by Tom Ludlam and James Cotton, friends and film graduates from The University of Warwick.
The start of 2011 saw the first production take place under the new banner. RULE NUMBER THREE, a comic drama about a couple struggling to verbally communicate the problems in their relationship.
Starring up and coming British actors Nicholas Hoult and Imogen Poots, with Timothy Bentinck as support, the film was directed by Tom Ludlam and written and produced by James Cotton.
The film was funded by the North London Film Partnership and Film London and was selected to represent Enfield at the Film London Best of Boroughs (BOBs) 2011.
Following a year and half working on various productions spanning Features (Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, Cherry Tree Lane), Television Dramas (First Light, Song for Lunch), Short Films (NFTS) and Music Videos (UNKLE, Kate Nash), James and Tom wanted to utilise their knowledge and take the plunge together in order to make greater strides into the film industry.
7TH REEL PICTURES aims to be the platform from which this determined and enthusiastic director-producer pair can carve out a name for themselves in the cut-throat world of the film industry.
